My name is Deborah B. Dalton and I have
been the Library Media Specialist at Oneonta High School since
September of 1997. I received my BA from Princeton University in
1975 and my MLS from the University of Washington in 1979. I have
been a medical, public and K-12
librarian and throughly enjoy working with students and staff at the
high school level. Because I entered the school arena in 1994, just
about when the Internet was beginning to be used in schools, I feel I
have grown up with technology changes and integration. The
biggest change I have seen over the years with information seeking, is
the growing dependence on electronic information, and with it, the
growing need for skills to select the good, relevant information and to
weed out the inaccurate or unnecessary.
Family
I live in Cooperstown, New York with my husband, Jim, and our
dog, Sasha. I have two adult children,
Tucker, and Caitlin who work in Brooklyn, NY and Boston.
