Oneonta Middle School kicked off its first-ever Bike-A-Thon on Sunday, June 9, 2024, bringing families and community members together for a morning of biking, fun, and connection—all in support of Operation Full Circle, an OMS initiative focused on strengthening the bond between school and community.

The event encouraged families to get outside and be active together, with parents riding alongside their children and others cheering them on from the sidelines. Younger students rode a condensed loop behind the middle school, while older students navigated a more advanced course through the woods between the Yellowjacket Campus and Wilber Park, with the Oneonta Fire Department ensuring a safe ride for all.

Following the ride, the Spring Fling was in full swing with a Chicken BBQ, field games, music, and two bounce houses, along with a few community tents. The dunk tank stole the show, with Girls Wrestling Coach Mr. Velasco taking a splash—courtesy of Mr. Brindley!

OMS extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported the event. The enthusiasm and turnout made the first Bike-A-Thon a memorable success, and the school is already looking forward to keeping this tradition rolling for years to come!
